Hi. I have to make one big shape out of small shapes that are all the same shape and size for my graphic design class. I was thinking of a tree made with triangles but someone already took it. Any suggestions?

I'm mystified as to how people put the ends of knotted hemp together to form shapes, rings, etc. I would like to try to make a peace sign for a necklace, and also a ring, but so far I can only make straight things like necklaces and bracelets. How do people make shapes and rings? I know how to do the square, zigzag, overhand, half, and spiral knots. I just can't figure out how to put the shape together.

I have started bu dont know what shapes are the best to use. I know triangles are good, and squares,and overlapping. But which one is the strongest and best to use as a basis? i do already know that, but i am wondering if it should be my main structure, or if i should use squares in my base with triangles in the structure. I am doing math a year ahead of what i should, so give me a break, alright? Is there any way i can 2D (on a piece of paper) make 5 shapes touch each other?? all the shapes have to touch each other, not just the corners

Both times when I flew into/out of Salt Lake City, I noticed large, purple geometrical shapes around the lake from the plane. I have never acutally been to SLC, only used the airport as a layover, so I am not familiar with the layout of the land. Any idea what type of landform I am looking at from the sky? Or is it just the way the water appears?

For example, do you think sophisticated women prefer a certain shape of diamond while more family oriented women prefer another shape? I am not trying to make fun of anyone's preferred cut of diamond - I am really just curious to see if anyone has any opinions about the different shapes out there. I am curious about everyone's opinion about all diamond shapes if you have one. ajsarabi - no I do not have diamond envy - I have a one carat diamond (not saying which shape) but was just bored and wanted to start up a cool conversation.
